Fortune gods abound at Resorts World Sentosa this Year of the Rabbit

More than S$165,000 to be donated to charity

Singapore, 21 January 2011 – Fortune comes in all shapes and sizes this Chinese New Year at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) when Singapore's largest gathering of Fortune Gods meets at Singapore's first integrated resort. These ambassadors of wealth will bless guests with over 300,000 gold coins and hand out over S$165,000 in cash prizes to 88 guests at the Resort over the 15 days of
Chinese New Year. Guests who spend a minimum of S$38 at the Resort stand to walk away with a Grand Prize of S$88,000 in the Win for Charity grand draw. All guests need to do is to make the correct guess on the size of this heavenly congregation – either 68, 88, or 118 – and drop their entry forms into the corresponding golden pots.

Aside from the Grand Draw on 17 February 2011, there will also be two lucky draws conducted daily and six lucky guests, regardless of their choice, will walk away with cash prizes of S$888 each. All winners will also choose a charity of their choice to receive matching dollar donations from RWS!

RWS Vice President of Entertainment, Ms Andrea Teo said: “Chinese New Year is an important festival in Singapore and at Resorts World Sentosa, we believe in celebrating the occasion with the less privileged. A small token can mean a lot and we have decided to do our part in a big way this year. Charity will be a key focus for us this Chinese New Year and we also hope to spread the message of giving through our efforts.”

RWS Coordinator for Corporate Social Responsibility, Ms Lynn Lee said: “At Resorts World Sentosa, we love the idea of giving back to the community. It's extra meaningful when we can involve our guests by giving them a stake in choosing a charity organisation that is close to their hearts. RWS has a strong line-up of community projects and this charity donation is just the start of our efforts to help the needy.”

From 1 February 2011, Resorts World Sentosa will be ushering Chinese New Year with a colourful floral festival, a four-storey high jaw-dropping giant topiary Rabbit, a Taiwanese star-studded concert, exciting performances by Chinese troupes, original China craft masters and of course, Singapore's largest gathering of Fortune Gods.
